Crazy, but quite often true

I completely forget what, you ask me to do

So then, you tell me once more

Even though you’d just told me, five minutes before

But, there’s a real good reason

Please let me explain

I’m growing older, I’ve got a hazy brain

Yes, you've been doing that a lot lately

I’ve memorized speeches 

I’ve memorized quotes

I’ve given long lectures 

without any notes

My present condition 

just isn’t the same

Can’t even remember

my daughter’s first name

It’s the course of nature

don’t help to complain

I’m in the backyard

what I came out for
