Like The Beehives

She sees them going to firesides, and that kind of stuff.

And they all got their new dance cards, but she's not old enough. 

Nothing at girls camp, would ever freak them out. 

Yeah, they're so grown up, and she's still a sprout.

And she says,

"I wish that I could be like the Mia Maids,

They're so mature, they're in 8th & 9th grades

I wish that I could be like the Mia Maids, like the Mia Maids."

She sees them talking with the cute guys, when seminary's done.

Yeah, they're living the good life, they've earned their medallion. 

They're driving dad's car, and they don't care where they go.

Life in the fast lane, and hers seems so slow.

And she says,

"I wish that I could be like the Laurels,

They go on dates and practice good morals

I wish that I could be like the Laurels, like the Laurels."

She knows that high school is ending, and it's coming fast. 

It's just amazing, how quick the time has passed. 

There's apprehension, for what the future holds. 

She feels some tension, as her life unfolds. 

And she says,

"I wish that I could be like the Beehives,

'Cause all the Beehives, they have carefree lives.

I wish that I could be like the Beehives, like the Beehives."

And they said,

"I wish that I could be like the Mia Maids,

They're so mature, they're in 8th & 9th grades

I wish that I could be like the Mia Maids, like the Mia Maids."

"I wish that I could be like the Laurels,

They go on dates and practice good morals

"I wish that I could be like the Beehives,
